A receipt on how to write stories with light
This is an invitation to a photography course where you will taste photography, not just eat it. We will use “ingredients” like camera bodies, lenses, light, exposure, composition, ISO, f-stop, shutter speed and create receipts that will make you fall in love with photography.
I must warn you that this course can be very demanding and not recommended for people who have heart issues :). You will learn how to use the heart to take the photos, not your brain. The brain is often an overestimated organ. I don’t promise miracles, but I promise is that the course will be an unforgettable experience and not just a boring lecture. The promise I can make now is that it will change the way you look at the world around you. It will change how you see things once you put your eye in the camera viewfinder. In the end of the course, you will have a much better understanding of light, of how the camera functions, and how to creatively apply that in your photography. The course is divided into 4 parts Part 1 – How it works We will look into photography as a tool to express yourself creatively. The focus will be on the basic principles of how the camera works. We will explain the essential concepts of how to take technically correct photos. Part 2 – Exposure and composition Correct exposure and composition are probably two of the main concepts in photography. We will explore different types of light and several examples of composition in photography. Part 3 – A day in the studio This lecture will be dedicated to an exclusive shoot in a professional studio set up. We will try to apply most of the learned lessons in practice using continuous light flash. There will be a model to pose and the participants will try different lighting scenarios. Part 4 – Rounding up We will try to round up the things we learned by focusing on the things that are suggested by the participants. |
